.Jubilee Weekend:
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee weekend is nearly upon us . On Sunday 3rd June there will be a magnificent flotilla of 1, 000 boats (mainly barges) proceeding down the Thames. The jewel in the crown will be the Royal Barge, which has been handcrafted for the occasion and will be leading the procession. Named the 'Gloriana' the barge will be the largest and most magnificent of the boats. However, the parade will include vessels of many different shapes and sizes, including a large contingent from the Dunkirk evacuation during WW2.
It promises to be truly spectacular.
