'Excitement Surrounding The Olympic Opening Ceremony Builds'
26th Jul 2012

The excitement in the air surrounding tomorrow night's Olympics opening ceremony is palpable. It has been the source of much speculation and not a little derision in the last few months, despite the fact that we still have no clue as to what it will be about.

Elements of the show have been leaked and it is known to include Sir Paul McArtney and a giant green field. However we remain very much in the dark.

Nevertheless, the lucky few who witnessed the dress rehearsal have responded with almost universal praise but have added that it will contain many surprises.

The ceremony promises to be a must see event and it will be broadcasted on Friday at 9pm on BBC1.
