'Wimbledon 25th -8th July'
21st Jun 2012

Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and considered by many to be the most prestigious.

This years championship promises to be an exciting one. The stand out players this season are Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic (last year's winner). Nadal and Federer will continue their historic rivalry, which has a long history.

From 2006 to 2008 they played in every French Open and Wimbledon final. In 2009 they met at the Australian Open final and in 2011 French Open final. Nadal won six of the eight matches, losing the first two Wimbledon's (his specialty being clay and not grass). Federer is tipped to beat Nadal who crashed out early at Queens this year.

As for British players, Andy Murray will be playing whose fitness has been criticized recently. It looks like another disappointing year for the British who have not won Wimbledon since 1936.

The Rockwell is close to Wimbledon and is short ride away via the district line. We still have a few rooms left for visitors wishing to see the tournament.
